Feel the magic of Lapland and join KY-Sub’s legendary Lapland trip to the winter wonderland of Levi from February 1st until February 6th, 2024. This place up in the North is known for its skiing resort, amazing scenery, and plenty of fun winter activities that you’ll be able to try with us!
On this page, you can find information on what the trip includes and the preliminary program for the trip. The actual ticket sale will take place during our Welcome Evening. This trip is primarily for exchange students at the Aalto University School of Business.

Thursday, February 1st, 2024
Departure from Otaniemi in the evening with buses.
Travelling overnight on the bus with 2-3 breaks at gas stations for toilet breaks, and snacks.
Friday, February 2nd, 2024
Arrival to Levi in the morning.
Ski school for beginners (additional activity for an additional price)
Learn how to ski with a professional skiing instructor. The Levi skiing resort has slopes suitable for beginner skiers, so don’t worry if you have never been on a pair of skis before. Now is your time to learn!
Skiing with KY-Sub (requires buying a ski pass and renting the equipment)
If you are an experienced skier, join KY-Sub for a day of skiing in Levi skiing slopes offering the best skiing experience in Finland!
In the evening – Heading to a bar together for an epic after-ski party!

In the morning or afternoon – Snowshoe walk (additional activity for an additional price)
Come and enjoy the breathtaking views that Levi has to offer! We will take a walk with snowshoes in the snowy landscapes of Levi. During the walk you can explore Finnish Nature and enjoy the fresh air of Finnish Lapland!
In the morning or afternoon – Snowmobiling (additional activity for an additional price)
Have you always wanted to unleash your amazing driving skills onto snowy terrain with your best friends? This activity is made for you! In this fast-paced activity you will explore the area around Levi on snowmobiles and get to experience beautiful Finnish landscapes from a unique perspective.
In the evening – Drinking Minttu hot chocolate together with KY-Sub and heading to a bar together for an epic party!
Sunday, February 4th, 2024
In the morning – Husky farm visit (additional activity for an additional price)
Join a husky ride through the snow-filled forest! With a guide, you will also get to know the everyday life of a Huskypark and see other animals such as wolves, arctic foxes, reindeer, and red foxes. The experience becomes complete when you get to enjoy hot juice and sausages by an open fire in an authentic Laplander’s hut.
In the afternoon – Cross-country skiing (additional activity for an additional price)
You might have heard of the famous Finnish cross-country skiers and this is your chance to start your skiing career. We will go and rent cross-country skiing equipment together and head to the skiing trail. After that the people from KY-Sub will teach you the basics of cross-country skiing and you get to know the secrets of this traditional sport!
In the evening – Northern Lights tour (included in the ticket)
Experience the real magic of Lapland! KY-Sub will take you through the snowy forests to our favorite spot for seeing the northern lights. While waiting for the show of the night to start you can enjoy delicious campfire marshmallows. (Spotting the Northern Lights is not guaranteed due to varying weather conditions.)

In the morning – Waking up and cleaning

The buses leave from Levi at 14:00.
During our trip home – A visit to the Santa Claus Village (included in the ticket)
Visit the one and only Santa Claus to tell your Christmas wishes in person! You can also stop by Santa’s post office to send your friends and family a postcard with a special stamp.
